Eco Friendly Dishwasher Tips

Here are some tips
- If you have a Pre-1994 dishwasher then upgrading to an ENERGY STAR certified model can save you up to $30 a year in energy costs. ENERGY STAR dishwashers use less water than newer standard models.
- Avoid wasting water by pre-rinsing plates and dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. You only need to scape the food from the dishes. This simple practice can save hundreds of gallons of water a year.
- Wash only full loads of dishes. However, overloading the dishwasher is undesireable as it will lead to poor water circulation and unwashed dishes.
- Clean the dishwasher drains and filters frequently to maintain operational efficiency.
- Air dry your dishes.
