Solid waste management

Solid Waste Management can include Municipal waste, Construction & demolition materials, Special waste (including cement kiln dust, mining waste, oil drilling mud), Medical waste and Sludge from waste water treatment.

Municipal waste Consists of packaging, furniture, clothing, food waste, papers, batteries and organic material like grass clippings

Wood, paper and cardboard make up at least 35% of wastes

Disposal has four dimensions:
Recycling
Landfilling
Combustion
Composting
